So how many calories are in that broccoli head?
Not that it matters how many calories are in a head of broccoli (because it’s so good for you), but doing a search for the calorie count on a head of broccoli turns up zero results. All the calorie counting tools online count florettes, spears, stalks, chopped, or cups.
Well I bought a food scale recently, so I now have the ability to count calories more effectively. One of the first things I wanted to do with my new scale, was to find out how many calories really are there in a head of broccoli?
Standard medium sized apple next to a head of broccoli.
This particular broccoli head weighted 307 grams.
Total Calories = 105
Normal medium sized apple next to average size broccoli head.
